Open Enrollment - Frequently Asked Questions

Main content start

I'm not planning on making any changes to my benefits. Do I need to do anything?

It's always a good idea to re-visit your elections to ensure they still fit your needs, verify life insurance beneficiaries, and make any address updates.

What happens if I don't take action during Open Enrollment?

If you choose not to take action, your current benefits and covered dependents will "roll over" to 2024 at the new rates. So take the time to review your options; otherwise, you'll have to wait until the next Open Enrollment period unless you experience a qualifying life event (such as getting married, having a baby, or changing job status) to make changes. View the Change Your Benefits page for more details.

When do my Open Enrollment elections become effective?

Changes made during Open Enrollment become effective Jan 1, 2024.

I will have dependent premiums beginning Jan 1, 2024. How do I pay them?

You were asked to provide your banking information when you made your benefit elections. We use this information to process a direct debit to your bank account on the 22nd of each month. If the 22nd falls on a weekend or a holiday, we collect the previous business day.
